I Can’t Borrow an eBook or Audiobook
If you cannot borrow an eBook or Audiobook, the title may already be on loan, you may have reached your loan limit, or the title may not be available to your account.
All copies are borrowed
If all available copies are already on loan, the title cannot be borrowed immediately. The title may appear unavailable or greyed out.
Open the title and select Reserve if that option is available. The reservation keeps your place until the title becomes available.
You have reached your loan limit
Your school or library controls how many titles you can have on loan at one time.
If you have reached that limit, you can:
- return another eBook or Audiobook; or
- wait for an existing loan to expire and return automatically.
After a loan has been returned, try borrowing the new title again.
The title is unavailable to your account
Your school controls which titles different patrons can see and borrow. Access may depend on information such as your age or year level.
If you believe you should be able to borrow the title, ask your teacher or librarian to review your account and the title’s access settings.
The Borrow button is not working
If the title appears available but you cannot borrow it:
- Confirm that your device has an internet connection.
- Open the title again.
- Select Borrow.
- If using the app, check your app store for an ePlatform update.
- Restart the app or browser and try again.
- Record any error message displayed.
Need help?
Ask your teacher or librarian if you still cannot borrow the title.
Library staff can email support@eplatform.co and include:
- the library name;
- the affected title and ISBN;
- whether one or multiple patrons are affected;
- the affected patron’s account details; and
- the error message displayed, if any.
