I Can’t Renew an eBook or Audiobook
A title can only be renewed when it meets the renewal requirements. The Renew option may be unavailable if it is too early to renew, another patron has reserved the title, or the title was assigned to you.
How to renew a title
- Open Loans.
- Find the eBook or Audiobook you want to renew.
- Select Renew.
Check the renewal window
The Renew option becomes available up to two days before the title’s expiry date.
If the title is not yet within this renewal period, continue using the current loan and check again closer to its expiry.
Another patron has reserved it
A title cannot be renewed when another patron is waiting for the copy.
You can reserve the title yourself and borrow it again when it next becomes available.
The title was assigned to you
Assigned titles cannot be renewed by the patron. Your school determines how long an assigned book remains available.
Ask your teacher or librarian if you need more time with an assigned title.
A copy is not available for renewal
A renewal may be unavailable if your school no longer has a copy available for another loan.
Ask your teacher or librarian whether another copy can be made available or requested.
The Renew option is still missing
- Confirm that the title is within two days of its expiry date.
- Confirm that the title is not an assigned book.
- Confirm that your device has an internet connection.
- If using the app, check for an ePlatform update.
- Sign out, sign in again, and return to Loans.
Need help?
Ask your teacher or librarian if you cannot determine why the title is ineligible for renewal.
Library staff can email support@eplatform.co and include:
- the library name;
- the affected title and ISBN;
- the patron account;
- the displayed expiry date; and
- whether the Renew option appears.
