An Audiobook Won’t Play
An Audiobook must be borrowed and available in your Loans before you can listen to it.
Check that the Audiobook is on loan
- Open Loans.
- Find the Audiobook.
- Confirm that it is still part of your active loans.
- Select Listen.
If the loan has expired, the Audiobook returns automatically and must be borrowed again before it can be played.
Start playback
From the Audiobook player, select the central Play/Pause control to start listening.
You can also use the chapter controls or table of contents to select a different track.
Check your internet connection
An internet connection is required when playing an Audiobook that has not been downloaded for offline listening.
- Confirm that your device is connected to the internet.
- Return to Loans.
- Open the Audiobook again.
- Select Play.
Check the offline download
If you are offline, the Audiobook files must have completed downloading before playback can begin.
Reconnect to the internet and confirm that the download reaches 100% before trying again offline.
Restart and update the app
- Check your app store for an ePlatform update.
- Close and reopen the app.
- Restart your device.
- Sign out of ePlatform and sign in again.
- Return to Loans and open the Audiobook.

- the library name;
- the Audiobook title and ISBN;
- the affected patron account;
- whether the title is being streamed or played offline;
- the device being used; and
- the error message displayed, if any.
