My Reading or Listening Progress Isn’t Syncing
The ePlatform app automatically synchronises your loans, reservations, and eBook reading progress between devices when each device has an internet connection.
Requirements for syncing
For ePlatform information to synchronise:
- each device must have an internet connection;
- each device must use the same ePlatform library;
- each device must use the same patron account; and
- the ePlatform app should be up to date.
Check your library and account
On each device, confirm that you are signed in to:
- the same school or library; and
- the same patron account.
Progress, loans, or reservations associated with another account will not appear in the current account.
Synchronise eBook progress
- Connect the first device to the internet.
- Open the ePlatform app.
- Open the eBook from Loans.
- Confirm the current reading location.
- Connect the second device to the internet.
- Open ePlatform using the same library and patron account.
- Open the same eBook from Loans.
- Check the displayed reading position.
If the position has not updated, close and reopen the app on both devices while they are connected to the internet.
Audiobook listening position
If an Audiobook opens at an unexpected position:
- Confirm that both devices are connected to the internet.
- Confirm that both devices use the same library and patron account.
- Close and reopen the Audiobook.
- Use the Audiobook progress bar to return to the required position if necessary.
The progress bar at the bottom of the Audiobook player can be dragged to the required listening position.
If progress still does not match
- Check your app store for an ePlatform update on each device.
- Restart each device.
- Connect each device to the internet.
- Sign out and sign in again using the same account.
- Open the title again from Loans.
Need help?
Ask your teacher or librarian if the progress still does not match between devices.
Library staff can email support@eplatform.co and include:
- the library name;
- the patron account;
- the title and ISBN;
- whether it is an eBook or Audiobook;
- the devices being used; and
- the reading or listening position shown on each device.
