Downloading and Listening to an Audiobook Offline
Store an Audiobook offline through your school’s ePlatform web portal or the ePlatform app so you can continue listening without Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Audiobooks must be downloaded manually using Store Offline. Wait until the download reaches 100% before disconnecting from the internet.
The offline copy is stored locally. Use the same device and the same browser or ePlatform app that you used to store the Audiobook.

Before you begin
Make sure:
- the ePlatform app is installed in the browser or app you are using;
- your device is connected to the internet;
- you are signed in to the correct library and reader account; and
- you have borrowed the Audiobook you want to download.
Download the Audiobook
- Open the ePlatform app while connected to the internet.
- Select Loans.
- Find the borrowed Audiobook you want to download.
- Open the Audiobook's title page.
- Open the menu in the upper-right corner.
- Select Store Offline.
The web portal or app will begin downloading the Audiobook's audio files to the browser or app you are using.
Confirm the download has finished
Keep the device connected to the internet while the audio files are downloading.
Wait until the Audiobook shows that it is 100% downloaded. The Audiobook is not ready for offline listening until the complete download has finished.
Listen to the Audiobook offline
After the download reaches 100%:
- Open the ePlatform app.
- Select Loans.
- Find the downloaded Audiobook.
- Select the Audiobook to begin listening.
The downloaded Audiobook can be played without Wi-Fi or mobile data for the remainder of its loan period.
Remove the downloaded audio files
When you no longer need the Audiobook offline, you can remove its downloaded audio files from that browser or app:
- Open the Audiobook's title page.
- Open the menu in the upper-right corner.
- Select Clear Offline Files.
This deletes the downloaded audio files from that device.
When the loan expires
Downloading an Audiobook does not change its borrowing period. The Audiobook will be returned automatically when the loan expires and will no longer be available for offline listening.
If the Audiobook is not available offline
- Reconnect the device to the internet.
- Open the ePlatform app and select Loans.
- Open the Audiobook's title page.
- Open the menu and select Store Offline.
- Wait until the download reaches 100%.
- Open the Audiobook again before disconnecting from the internet.
If the download still does not complete, update your browser or check your app store for an ePlatform app update. If the problem continues, ask your teacher or librarian for help.
