What you need
Before opening ePlatform in a browser, make sure you have:
- an internet connection;
- your school or library's unique ePlatform website address; and
- the sign-in details or single sign-on method provided by your school.
Open ePlatform in a browser
- Open a current web browser on your computer.
- Enter your school or library's unique ePlatform website address in the browser's address bar.
- Open the library's sign-in page.
- Sign in using the method provided by your school or library.
Once signed in, you can browse the library, borrow titles, read eBooks, and listen to Audiobooks through the browser.
Find your library's website address
Each school and library has its own ePlatform website address. Use the address supplied by your teacher, librarian, or school.
If you do not know the address:
- Go to Find Libraries .
- Search for the name of your school or library.
- Select the correct school or library.
- Open its ePlatform website and go to the sign-in page.
If your school or library does not appear, ask your teacher or librarian for the correct ePlatform website address.
Browsers you can use
Use a current version of a modern web browser. Examples include:
- Google Chrome;
- Microsoft Edge;
- Apple Safari; and
- Mozilla Firefox.
Keeping your browser updated helps ePlatform display and operate correctly.
Sign in through a browser
The sign-in method is chosen by your school or library. Depending on its setup, you may need to use:
- a username and password; or
- your school's single sign-on service.
If you do not know which method to use or do not know your sign-in details, ask your teacher, librarian, or school administrator.
For more information, see How to Sign In .
Use titles offline in a browser
eBooks and Audiobooks can be stored for offline use through the web portal as well as the ePlatform app. Borrow and fully download the title while connected to the internet, then use the same computer and browser to open it offline.
- For an eBook, keep Store Offline enabled and wait for the completed-download check mark.
- For an Audiobook, open its menu, select Store Offline, and wait for the download to reach 100%.
For complete steps, see How Offline Access Works.
Choose between the browser and app
| Option | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Web browser | Use ePlatform from a computer without installing the app, including storing borrowed titles for offline use. |

- Check that your computer is connected to the internet.
- Refresh the ePlatform page.
- Confirm that your browser is up to date.
