Adding Your Library with a Setup Code or QR Code

If your school or library has given you an ePlatform setup code or QR code, you can use it to add the correct library to the ePlatform app.

A setup code or QR code adds your school or library to the app. It does not sign you into your reader account. After adding the library, you will still need to use the sign-in method provided by your school or library.

Get your setup code or QR code

Your school or library can provide you with the setup code or QR code for its ePlatform library. Ask your teacher, librarian, or school administrator if you have not received one.

For library staff

Library staff can find the setup code and QR code from the school's ePlatform portal:

  1. Sign in to the ePlatform portal.
  2. Open the Library page.
  3. Select Install ePlatform APP by Setup or QR code.

The setup code and QR code for the library will be displayed.

  1. Open the ePlatform app.
  2. Select I have a setup code >.

If you have already added another library, select Add New Library from the Home screen before selecting the setup-code option.

  1. Enter the setup code provided by your school or library.
  2. Select GET STARTED.

The app will add the school or library connected to that setup code.

Where library staff can see the setup code

The setup code is displayed in the library's ePlatform portal after selecting Install ePlatform APP by Setup or QR code.

Add your library with a QR code

Your school's QR code is available from the same Install ePlatform APP by Setup or QR code page in its ePlatform portal.

  1. Open the ePlatform app.
  2. Select ADD NEW LIBRARY.

  1. Select the QR button.

  1. If the app asks for permission to use your device's camera, select OK.

  1. Point your device's camera at the QR code.
  2. Keep the QR code inside the scanning area until it is recognised.

The app will add the school or library connected to the QR code.

After adding your library

After the library has been added, the app will open its sign-in page.

Sign in using the method provided by your school or library, such as:

  • a username and password; or
  • your school's single sign-on service.

If the code does not work

  • Check that you entered the setup code exactly as provided.
  • Ask your school or library to confirm the setup code or QR code.
  • If you are scanning a QR code, make sure the app has permission to use your device's camera.

If you still cannot add the library, ask your teacher, librarian, or school administrator for help.
