Using Levelled Readers
Levelled Readers provide high-interest Fiction and Non-Fiction organised by general reading difficulty. They are designed differently from phonics-based Decodable Readers and standard eBooks.

What are Levelled Readers?
Levelled Readers are organised by reading difficulty rather than by a phonetic sequence.
The collection contains Fiction and Non-Fiction for a range of primary interest levels. It includes series such as Maxx Rumble and titles from BookLife.
Open a Levelled Reader
- Sign in to ePlatform.
- Open the Levelled Readers collection.
- Select a title at the required reading level.
- Open the title to begin reading.
How the fixed layout works
Levelled Readers use a fixed layout similar to a PDF. The text, illustrations, and page design remain in the positions chosen by the publisher.
This preserves the original relationship between the words and illustrations on each page.
Why standard eBook tools are unavailable
Because Levelled Readers use a fixed layout, the following standard eBook tools are unavailable:
- changing the font style;
- changing the text size;
- changing the text spacing;
- changing the page layout; and
- Microsoft Immersive Reader.
The absence of these tools does not indicate a problem with the title. The fixed layout is used to keep the illustrations and text placement aligned.

Progress tracking
