Using the Dyslexia-Friendly Settings Wizard

The Dyslexia-Friendly Settings Wizard guides you through choosing eBook display settings that match your reading preferences.

You can use the wizard when you open your first eBook or launch it again later from the eBook Reader.

Settings changed by the wizard

The wizard helps you choose your preferred:

  • background colour;
  • font style;
  • font or text size; and
  • line spacing.

Use the wizard when opening your first eBook

The settings wizard is displayed automatically the first time you open an eBook in ePlatform.

  1. Open an eBook and select Read.
  2. Wait for the settings-wizard window to appear.
  3. Follow the prompts to choose your preferred reading style.

Open the wizard again

You can launch the wizard again after completing the initial setup:

  1. Open Loans.
  2. Select an eBook and then select Read.
  3. Select the Aa icon to open Display Settings.
  4. Select the option to launch the Dyslexia-Friendly Settings Wizard.
  5. Follow the prompts to choose your preferred settings.

Change individual settings

You do not need to run the complete wizard each time you want to make a change. Open Display Settings using the Aa icon to adjust individual display options.

Available options include:

  • 11 font styles, including OpenDyslexic;
  • 36 font sizes;
  • 18 background colours;
  • text brightness;
  • letter, word, and line spacing;
  • page layout;
  • text alignment; and
  • Night Reading Mode.

How your settings are saved

ePlatform remembers your chosen display preferences. The settings are applied when you open other eBooks on the same device.

You can return to Display Settings at any time to change the settings or select Reset Default.
