Video tutorial
Watch this student tutorial for an overview of signing in to ePlatform.
Before you start
Your school or library chooses how readers sign in to ePlatform. You may need:
- your school or library's ePlatform website link;
- the ePlatform app on your phone or tablet;
- your school or library name, setup code, or QR code;
- a username, library ID, or barcode and password; or
- your usual school account for single sign-on.
If you have not received these details, ask your teacher or librarian before continuing.
Sign in using a web browser
Every school or library has its own ePlatform website. You must open the correct website before signing in.
- Open the ePlatform link provided by your teacher, librarian, or school.
- Check that the correct school or library name appears on the page.
- Select Log in.
- Use the sign-in method chosen by your school or library.
If you do not know the website address
- Go to Find Your School or Library.
- Check that the correct country or region is selected.
- Search for the name of your school or library.
- Select the correct result to open its ePlatform website.
- Select Log in or Sign in.
If you cannot find your school, try its full name, an abbreviation, a campus name, or one distinctive word from its name. You can also ask your teacher or librarian for the correct link.
Continue to Choose your sign-in method.
Sign in using the mobile or tablet app
Before signing in through the app, you must add your school or library. You can do this by searching for its name, entering a setup code, or scanning a QR code.
If you do not have the app, follow the instructions for downloading the ePlatform app.
Search for your school or library
- Open the ePlatform app.
- Select Add New Library.
- Enter the name of your school or library.
- Select the correct school or library from the search results.
- Continue to its login page.
If you cannot find it, try the school's full name, an abbreviation, its campus name, or one distinctive word from its name.
Use a setup code
A setup code is a short code that opens the correct school or library in the app. Your teacher or librarian may give you this code.
- Open the ePlatform app.
- Select Add New Library.
- Select I have a setup code.
- Enter the setup code provided by your school or library.
- Select Get Started.
- Continue to the login page.
The setup code opens your library. It does not replace your personal username, password, or school account.
Scan a QR code
Your teacher or librarian may give you an ePlatform QR code that opens your school or library in the app.
- Open the ePlatform app.
- Select Add New Library.
- Select the QR option.
- Allow the app to use your camera if asked.
- Point your camera at the complete QR code.
- Wait for the correct school or library to open.
- Continue to the login page.
Only scan an ePlatform QR code provided by your school, teacher, librarian, or library.
The QR code opens your library. It does not replace your personal username, password, or school account.
Choose your sign-in method
When you reach your library's login page, use the method selected by your school. Your screen may look slightly different because each school can choose its own sign-in method.
Sign in with a username and password
- Enter the username provided by your school or library.
- Enter your password.
- Select Log in.
Your ePlatform username and password may be different from the account you use for other school services. Use the details provided by your teacher or librarian.
Sign in with single sign-on
Single sign-on, sometimes called SSO, lets you use the same account you normally use for your school's other online services.
- Select the single sign-on option shown on the login page.
- Look for your school's name or logo, or an option such as Google or Microsoft.
- Enter your usual school account details if asked.
- Complete any extra security steps required by your school.
- Wait to return to ePlatform.
If your school password is not working, use your school's normal password-recovery process or ask your teacher, librarian, or school IT team. ePlatform does not manage the password for your school account.
If another sign-in option appears
Some schools and libraries use another type of account. Follow the instructions displayed on the login page or ask your teacher or librarian which option you should choose.
If you do not know how to sign in
Ask your teacher, librarian, or school IT team:
- which ePlatform website or library you should open;
- whether you should use a username and password or single sign-on;
- which username, library ID, or barcode you should enter; and
- whether your reader account is active.
Your school or library creates your reader account and chooses how you sign in.
If you cannot sign in
Try these steps:
- Check that the correct school or library name is displayed.
- Make sure you selected the correct sign-in option.
- Check the spelling and capital letters in your username and password.
- Make sure Caps Lock is not turned on.
- If you use single sign-on, check whether your school account works with another school service.
- Close and reopen the app or browser.
- Try signing in again.
If you still cannot sign in, ask your teacher, librarian, or school IT team to check your account.
What to include when asking for help
Tell the person helping you:
- your school or library name;
- whether you are using a web browser or the mobile app;
- what device and browser you are using;
- which sign-in option you selected; and
- the exact error message displayed.
